Michael Smith, the practice’s Principal Landscape Architect and Urban Designer, has led the practice since commencement in 1994. Michael has skills in site analysis, community engagement and consultation,concept design and contract documentation. The practice undertakes many projects which involve our skills in community and user group consultation, conceptual design, construction documentation and co-ordination of subconsultant teams on multi-disciplinary projects.

Michael has worked to form solid and trusted working relationships with a range of allied professionals to assist as subconsultants. He has an established profile in contract administration and has current knowledge in the preparation of cost plans.

Since the commencement of the practice, he has managed the practice that has undergone significant growth in the complexity of projects undertaken, which now covers all aspects of design, from managing consultancy teams, community and stakeholder consultation and engagement to design and documentation of complex projects. He has led in the vicinity, 190 major urban design, streetscape design, and recreation and open space masterplanning and site design projects, all of which have required between two and ten subconsultant firms.
 

Michael has highly developed all-round skills experience in urban design, streetscape design, landscape design, consultation and engagement and contract administration.
