Griggs Creek, Clifton Springs
Client | City of Greater Geelong
Year | 2010-2011
The City of Greater Geelong appointed our practice as lead consultant to undertake the design and documentation for the rehabilitation of Griggs Creek at Clifton Springs near Geelong. We worked with a team of subconsultants including civil, structural and hydrological engineers and an ecologist.
The project was complex, due to the highly dispersive nature of soils in the creek and the dominance of weed species, which had taken over from native vegetation. The project sought to rehabilitate the creek to stabilise the creek banks, manage water flow and develop an environment which is dominated by indigenous vegetation.
