Edithvale Recreation Reserve
Client | Kingston City Council
Year | 2007
Kingston City Council appointed our practice with subconsultants ASR Research and Hede Architects to undertake extensive user group consultation and address issues of several dated and poorly presented facilities and identify actions which will benefit current and future user groups of this popular Reserve.
Key attributes were the existing velodrome, soccer pitches and baseball diamond and the proximity to the Edithvale wetlands. The site also has excellent connectivity to surrounding open space of the Chelsea Golf Course and the Chelsea Town Common. The project required extensive consultation with various clubs competing for competition and training grounds and facilities.
